The New Year is Here! (Site Updates and Help Wanted)

Happy New Year!

As the year-end data rolls in from around the various regions, stay right here for all the latest video game sales data and charts. We're looking at a big week ahead of us, with UK's data being released tomorrow from GfK Chart-Track and two separate weeks of Japanese data in one week from Media Create.

Also, please watch for some interesting Chart Get! developments. We've been building towards something and I can't wait to see how you and other sales-enthusiasts respond. As promised, any and all updates to the site will be with the audience in mind, keeping data integrity and transparency at the forefront of any decisions.

As we move forward, I'm looking for additional contributors that are looking for an opportunity to show what you have. I need a good writer and potentially a site admin. If you're interested, please don't hesitate to email me.

I'm also looking for someone to redesign.

Here's what we're doing:
1. New Chart Get! branding on everything.
2. New Banner (submissions welcome).
3. Updating all links, favorites, and email.
4. Modifying certain past articles to reflect new branding.
5. Building an email list for media releases when new charts are released.

This process will take a minute and will be a semi-restart from the momentum we had gained as a site, but will ultimately lead to a self-sustaining site that can provide the best and most trustworthy game charts anywhere.

Chart Get! - Your home for video game sales news and data presentation. Here you will find up-to-date sales news, charts, analysis, and discussion of video game hardware and software sales.

Commitments:
1. Our data is real: Chart Get! only uses publicly available data produced by professional outside sources by qualified market research firms, like Media-Create, Famitsu, and the NPD unless otherwise specified. We do not pretend to conduct market research only to pass off others' data as our own. All in-house estimations and extrapolations will be clearly marked.

2. All data and charts are cited: Every chart posted on this site will be cited and sourced with the data's origin unless produced by an outside source which will be credited. Chart Get! will never use other's data and pass it off as original.

3. Opinions and Analyses will be labeled as such: While Chart Get! acknowledges that bias is a natural part of the human experience, it is the objectivity of cold, hard numbers that reveals truth. In that spirit the reader will be explicitly warned when entering the territory of analysis and/or opinion.

External Use:
It is generally ok to use these charts on your own sites. Please track back to this site and post in the comments section of the posted chart when you do so. Alteration of charts is strictly prohibited.
