That's not to say that the UK doesn't enjoy its hardcore shooters, as Call of Duty: World at War is in 1st for the fourth week in a row (and it has hit 1 million sold, according to GFK Chart-Track), and Fallout 3 is enjoying a resurgence from a previous down week all the way up to 7th on the chart. It appears that Resistance 2 is just a flop.
Other popular games include Nintendo's Wii mainstays, Mario Kart Wii, Wii Fit, and Wii Play, as well as consecutive weeks in the top 10 by NFS: Undercover, Fifa 09, and Tomb Raider: Underworld.
Chart-Track Sales 12/01 - 12/07 (UK)
01. Call of Duty: World at War
02. Mario Kart Wii
03. FIFA 09
04. Dr Kawashima Brain Training
05. Need for Speed: Undercover
06. Tomb Raider: Underworld
07. Fallout 3
08. Wii Fit
09. Wii Play
10. Guitar Hero: World Tour

How about Gears of War 2? Is that a flop too because I can't see it on the list?
yup epic flop
Yeah, your logic is uncanny; "if it's not on the UK top list it's a flop!".
I AGREE WITH COMMENTS ABOVE
Meh...Anything with games like Fifa 09 higher than great games like Fallout 3, Resistance 2 and even Gears doesn't really deserve a mention to whether a games a success or not.
Your site is really sad.
That's all I have to say about that.
Well, considering the fact I play it every single day and have been playing it for every single day since I got it, I would hardly consider it a flop (imo)
It's hard to gage the UK charts just looking at the multiformat list (as it adds together all versions of a game). I prefer the individual charts, but Resistance 2 hasn't been doing very well. But then again prior to being bundled the first game didn't do much in Europe either.
This is more worthless drivel from this lousy site. I see a bunch of multiplatform games on that top ten list. And the Wii games of course sell well since Wii gamers don't have much worth buying.
how can resistance 2 be not doing well in UK. the game is great and definately deserves to be in the top 10. PS3!!!!!
need for speed: undercover #5 and tomb raider: underworld #6. really? why should anyone care what the UK thinks about videogames if those 2 pieces of garbage are in their top 10? they obviously enjoy torturing themselves with mind-numbingly boring unplayable games.
could it be because all the games above were shipped before EntertainmentUK went bust?? Since they are the suppliers and all. I couldn't find it last week in my local shops, granted I didn't try big chain stores.
To the idiot who wrote this article - if Resistance 2 is a flop because it's not on the top 10 then doesn't that also make Gears Of War 2 and Fable 2 flops???
Before anyone accuses me of being a Resistance fanboy i'd like to mention that i don't own Resistance and i have no intention of doing so. I don't even like FPS games. However i don't feel there's any need for so - called analysts to be biased when drawing conclusions from sales data.
