Good to see PSP on top, and Soul Calibur going to pass 100k on PS3. Impressive showing all around for Sony.

Also notice:

4 separate titles hit 100k+ this week. That's pretty huge. And DQV DS hit 1M!

Playstation 3 is doing very poorly in Japan.

In less than one month Metal Gear Solid 4 went from being the #1 selling game to completely dropping out of the Top-10. The fact that Metal Gear Solid 4 is now ranked #34 is actually pathetic.

This proves Metal Gear Solid 4 is no longer "selling" Playstation 3 hardware. Selling only 9,000 systems is very disappointing for the Playstation 3.

Xbox 360 outsold Playstation 3 by a ratio of 2.5:1 in July.

Tales of Vesperia from Namco is an Xbox 360 exclusive RPG that sold even better than Blue Dragon. This is the reason why we saw such a BIG increase in Xbox 360 sales.

...and just like MGS4, ToV will carry increased 360 sales for what...two weeks at best?

Not sure what conclusion you were trying to make.

Not to suggest that PS3 isn't doing poorly in Japan, but VERY few games that debut at #1 aren't out of the top 10 within a month.

I think Mario Kart Wii and Dragon Quest V are the two most recent exceptions.
