UK - FIFA 10 Makes Record All Formats Debut

10/5/09

FIFA 10 has debuted at number one in the UK, with 48% more sales than the critically acclaimed FIFA 09, which debuted one year ago. This is the biggest All Formats No. 1 launch since Grand Theft Auto IV began its historic run.

Professor Layton and Pandora’s Box, the most recent addition to the popular Nintendo franchise, held on to second place as last week’s top seller, Halo 3: ODST, dropped to number three with a 75% decrease in sales.

Some new releases farther down the list include Ninja Gaiden: Sigma 2 at number 26, and Risen at number 29.

Gran Turismo, normally a UMD-format game, is abnormally high at number 12 as it was offered as a free download on the PlayStation Network coinciding with the release of the media-less PSPGo.
