UK - Resident Evil 5 Remains Dominant; Many New Games Debut

Resident Evil 5 has remained number 1 on the UK Top 40 software chart for the week ending March 21st, 2009, despite a 52% drop in sales.

After a strong debut, Capcom’s biggest launch ever remains ahead of Nintendo’s popular Wii Fit, which recently surpassed sales of Halo 3 in the United States with 6 million units, according to Kotaku.

WWE Legends of Wrestlemania debuted at number 4, as well as the critically acclaimed Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars at number 6.

Due to Mother’s Day Promotion of the turquoise DS Lite Starter Pack, Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training jumped from number 21 to number 8.

Former top 10 games such as Halo Wars and Empire: Total War dropped from 8 to 18 and 9 to 19, respectively.

Singstar Queen has appeared at number 22, Madworld at number 34, and MySims Party at 35.
