When MC or Fam release their top software ever lists, does Platinum get lumped with D/P or are they considered separate games?

Also, I looked through a few past weeks of Famitsu software numbers, and I'm trying to figure out if the "leaked" values are always proximate (either equal or rounded) to the final values for software sales. Do they ever vary from the final numbers by more than 500 units?

Thanks; sorry if the second question is a bit OT.

The norm for Famitsu is that they lump games together when they're different versions that release on the same day, but something that comes out later like an Emerald or Platinum will be separate. MC counts them all separately to begin with.

I don't pay close enough attention to the early Famitsu numbers to say how much they differ from the finals.
