Wow what a huge flop Resistance 2 is.

PS3rd Flop's are the best.

considering it came out on friday it is only reflecting 2 days of sales, not a week, 2 days... in 2 days it made the top 10 this is not a flop at all. sorry to break it to you.. to make the top 10 with only 2 days sales is actually quite impressive.

It's because of people ignorance...

LMAO Gears of War 2 sold 2.1 million copies in 2 days.... and it's a better and higher rated game. Insomniac will be making Xbox games in not too long, wait and see. This is so embarassing for them. Games on PS3rd don't sale because the console is a poece of garbage Blu ray player that truw gamers don't play...only the most idiotic Sony fanboy's that enjoy 5 GB installs(Blu ray needs it) and the worst online, crappy ports and crappy trophy systems.

PS3 is a turd and getting destroyed this generation.

too many fanboys around here... we need a fanboy repellent and fast!

Lawls, fanboys arguing over which game is better
spoilers ***they are the same(identical) game***

of course this cant possibly be because of the distribution problems R2 is having in the UK

Sure.. how many bought the US-Version of the game? it was release about 4 weeks ago^^

R2 has been get alot of good things said about it that point out why its much better then Gay Of War 2 an that so called 260 game should have stay where it belongs, ON PC!!! The 1st one didn't use the controller at it's full and theirs notthing really new in the 2nd. But the same can be said about R2 but it's story may not make it the best game but the online play is what makes it number 1 craziest shooter game out on a system with 60 players!! COD eat your heart out an Bluray doesn't make the game install pee brain, it helps fit more of the game then 260's 8GB of a dvd and not all games need to be install an last time I check crap 260 now has install!?!? why? because MS said it was better idea....wait?? did MS just say Sony came out with a good idea that they had to steel? wow.

its just a sad game. even if it was my console of choice i wound bought it, just like LBP! and its just pathetic to see that NSF:U is doing so well considering id did so good in the reviews 4/10

for "R2" to make the top 10 list within 2 days it's pretty impressive especially with great tittles like "Call of Duty".

What you have to remember is that people have only so much money and time to spend. Seems that certain games cancel other games out so that doesn't mean that the games that don't make the grade are crap. At a guess, seems people have gone out and bought COD 5, Far Cry 2 etc. But FPS games are becoming tiring, washed out. Was surprised Little Big Planet flopped. Only way back for Sony now is to reduce the price of the PS3 (it's £300 in the UK), down to under £200. I've never known Sony to be so hard faced though. Serves them right, they've learned a big lesson from this.

LMAO....not a single 360 exclusive game made the top 10??? Does this mean Gays Of War 2 has maxed out it's sales AFTER JUST 3 WEEKS???

It's no wonder the 360 is so fecking cheap........since all it's games are shit it HAS to be or people won't buy it!!!

You get what you pay for....the 360 is for poor people and non - gamers, i feel sorry for them having no games which sell more than 1,000 a week :P

Way to go Chart Get! You completely failed to mention that Resistance 2 had only been out for three days when this sales chart was released.

As for you, you PS3 and Xbox 360 fanboys, get a life. Seriously, why does it matter if your beloved PS3 or 360 does so well? Why? You guys really have nothing better to do than to insult each other over video games? You're all a sad lot and I fell sorry for you.

I meant to say I FEEL sorry for you guys. Really, I do. Hopefully you'll all grow up and realize there are bigger things going on other than video games. Video games should just be enjoyed, not fought over.

@JJ -- I'm afraid we're nearing the need for a registered-only commenting system.

Or perhaps you and I can come up with a different solution? I have a couple ideas that might be worth your time. :)

One of the Anonymice: "Way to go Chart Get! You completely failed to mention that Resistance 2 had only been out for three days when this sales chart was released."

I'm more used to seeing the Japanese charts, but there there's usually one day each week when the vast majority of games are released, so being available for 4 days of the first release week is pretty standard. Is there a norm in UK, or does it vary enough that a 3-day first week is at a real disadvantage?

It looks like most/all of the rest of the top ten is older games which of course were available for the full 7 days, but game sales still tend to be strongest in the first days.

PL: I don't know what you could be thinking of, but I'm listening.

Funny I don't see GOW2 in that list.....BTW...R2 ROCKS online!

Anonymous said...

You PS3 fanboys need to look at where Gears of War 2 was on its debut week. It was number 1 because it sold over 2 million copies. Resistance 2's debut week it is number 10. Face it, Gears 2 is a far superior game. It BARELY made the list on its debut!

I never know fanboys could get this moronic. How can people with such low intelligence get hold of consoles and still have money to pay for games?
Must be presents from parents or crime.

Hands up if it costs you £40 a year to go online!!! :-P

Do you have any numbers/spots for the Wii version of WAW?
